| Shiraz 2010 |
|
This wine is predominantly Shiraz with a little Viognier added to provide aromatic lift.
Appearance: Dark red with crimson hues. Nose: Dark fruit pastilles, raspberry, blackberry, spice, hints of pepper and dusty vanillin oak. Palate: The first impression on the palate is the suite of dark fruits including blackberry, plum and raspberry characters, with black pepper in the background. A juicy acidity contributes to the wine structure which finishes with firm tannins and lingering toasty oak. An elegant medium bodied style of Shiraz. Serving suggestions: A wine like this handles more robust dishes such as roast beef, lamb or pork. It is a perfect match to a big juicy steak or game meats such as kangaroo or venison. It is well suited to richly flavoured casseroles or tomato based pasta dishes. Awards:
