| Riesling 2008 |
|
This wine is 100% Riesling, produced in a dry style. ![]() Appearance: Mid straw with green hues. Nose: Citrus of lemon, lime and quince with some floral notes. Palate: Initially lemon sherbert, then pear and lime characters with hints of passionfruit. The wine builds in intensity as it move across the palate displaying great palate length, crisp acidity, and a finish that lingers in the mouth. Serving suggestions: While great on its own this wine matches well with seafood, vegetarian and spicy cuisines. It adores Japanese dishes such as sushi and sashimi. Ideally suited to pork, poultry and veal dishes, it will also work well with creamy cheeses such as camembert or brie and hard cheeses such as cheddar. What James Halliday said: "Bright light straw-green; firm, fresh, clean and crisp, with a minerally framework for the citrus and green apple fruit flavours; Like the Early Harvest (2008), well made."
